I believe it would be impossible to find a better printer/features for this model's cost. It serves our family well- prob not great for office environments.
 Ink drinker & paper jammer July 20, 2010
Just the Fax
This fax has been a nightmare. Absolutely drinks ink, so if you receive many faxes, I'd look elsewhere. At least 1 out of 3 faxes we send gets jammed, so we have to resend. Often this means re-printing first, since the paper is too torn to send through the fax again.
It does scan OK....well, if it doesn't jam while scanning.
Very, very disappointed.

I purchased this item to use with Windows 7 Premium. The enclosed disk does not support Windows 7. But, the solution was very simple. I went to the Hewlett Packard online store, clicked on this printer and was able to download the program needed to operate the scan and fax options. This is a free download and it also gives free downloads for HP J3680 Officejet All-in-One Printerupdates on the product. I highly recommend this printer for home use.
Can't get it started July 9, 2010

The only first thing I can't get pass is the starting. The front message keeps saying there is paper jam error while there's not even paper in there. I've tried different kinds of paper but...

No easy way to select several images on your computer and dial the fax from your computer, which does not add to hp profits since you use no ink.
Prints very well from computer, which effectively adds to hp profit since you use their ink.
How odd.
